Massachusetts Credit Unions are proud to support the
Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless,
A Bed For Every Child.
For more than twenty-five years, Massachusetts Credit Unions through the generous support of members and business partners have demonstrated a heartwarming commitment to our charitable partner, donating more than $2.8 million to help tackle difficult problems and maintain awareness of the accelerating challenges of poverty that impact families and individuals. Working together for charity exemplifies the credit union philosophy of "people helping people".
It isn’t all about fundraising, however. The Massachusetts Credit Unions also conduct statewide drives to collect blankets and pajamas, warm clothing, books, school supplies, toys at holiday time and other items.
In addition to improving the quality of life for our homeless citizens, these efforts also serve to raise awareness of homelessness and whom it affects – often families with children and people with jobs. We also support the Coalition’s mission to address the factors that contribute to homelessness, in hopes of bringing about changes that put an end to it one day.
The Massachusetts Credit Unions have supported the Coalition’s A Bed for Every Child initiative since 2014 ensuring that a child in need has a place to dream in a bed of their own with all the comforts including sheets, blankets, pillows, and books.
